Boxelder Undaunted Heart Meditation

Hello, glad you decided to talk to us. The key word to describe us, as you have heard, is undaunted. We are part of the maple family, which is the family that extends the heart love of the tree kingdom to humanity. The maple leaves are often shaped reminiscent of a hand with the fingers spread out. The hands are humanity’s way of creatively expressing itself, and the highest form of human expression is to express love. It may be love in general through the creation of beautiful art, music, design, culinary delicacies, etc., or it could be extending a loving hand to a friend, or the touching hands of two lovers. There are so many ways in which the hands represent the expression and giving of love from the heart. And as symbolized by our hand-shaped leaves, maples energetically represent the tree kingdom’s giving of sweet heart energies to humanity. Our generous giving of our sap as maple syrup is a part of that giving to humanity of the heart energies from the tree kingdom.

Now, to be more specific about us Boxelders, we are very exuberant and undaunted in the expression of our love to humanity. If maple leaves are symbolic of the hand, you could say we have lost the palm of the hand and only have the digits left. That’s because we extend ourselves even further than most of the maple family to reach humanity in the giving of our love. On the one hand, this makes us vulnerable and fragile and parts of us easily break under pressure, such as heavy snow or strong winds. On the other hand, our inherent undaunted capacity to love lets us bounce back from any injury or insult and quickly re-grow and regenerate. This is the main lesson we have to teach humanity. To love may make you vulnerable and fragile, but if you do not let it break your spirit – the root of your being – then love can also make you tenacious and strong and help you to bounce back from any setback in life with renewed vigor so that you can continue to grow toward ever new heights.
